Morning Turtle TracksMoments before sunrise on a Sunday morning at Crescent Beach, Florida we spotted this false crawl made by a Loggerhead turtle. False crawls are created when a turtle comes ashore to lay her eggs, then decides that this not the location she wants and heads back to sea. In the early light, we were amazed by the turtle tracks’ beauty and felt blessed to witness such a serendipitous moment in nature. The arc of the track almost perfectly aligned with the rising sun. We must have just missed the turtle. After taking our photos, the sea quickly smoothed out the sand washing away all signs that a turtle had visited the beach. Enjoy.
