About Debi and Grant

Who we are

We’re a blended family living in Jacksonville, Florida. Both of us have two kids from previous relationships (which makes for a large and sometimes chaotic household when you add our three dogs). According to our kid’s friends, we’re “amazing, beautiful, fun, the best and great” (a direct quote). However, our kids don’t exactly agree, but what do they know. Our dogs also think we’re pretty neat too.

We believe in living each day to the fullest as if it were your last. Past experiences have taught us how life can change quickly without warning. So we’ve made a commitment to:

• Focus on the positive (and not focus on things we don’t have control over)
• Continue to learn and grow (find new and exciting challenges and experiences)
• Not sweat the small stuff (most challenging at times)
• Set an example to our kids that life is an exciting adventure where they have as much control over it as they will permit

What we enjoy doing

Spending time with our family and friends is a top priority in our lives. We do this by:

• Entertaining (creating an atmosphere for friends and family to try something new, relax, and have fun)
• Traveling (always looking for someplace new to visit and explore. As a couple or with family and friends)
• Cooking (”Weird Debi Food” is always looked forward to at parties)
• Finding fun things for us and our family and friends to do (skiing, limo rides, corn mazes, relaxation parties, etc.)

What we aspire for

We’re firm believers in the Law of Attraction, personal growth and entrepreneurialism.

We’re committed to developing multiple sources of income in our lives. Basically, we’re working towards financial freedom in a fun and fulfilling way. That has become our motto and mantra. And it’s manifested in a variety of ways:

• We’ve established a couple of Network Market businesses to help create a residual stream of income over the next few years.
• We’re partnering with others on Internet Marketing ventures.
• We’re networking with others to explore other income producing opportunities.

Both of us have twenty plus years of corporate experience. And, both of us have experienced downsizing in our careers (three between us). We’re also fully aware that the corporate environment is changing:

• Offshoring and outsourcing jobs
• More personal stress from efficiency management programs
• Expectation to compromise your values
• Limitations on time away from work (vacations, personal days, sick days, etc)

We feel the only way for us to have control of our income, time and integrity is to own what we’re doing.

Over time, this blog will provide a well-rounded picture of who we are and where we’re going. It will be our way to chronicle what’s working and not working as we work towards our aspirations.

Once you get to know us, we hope you’ll appreciate how we approach life. We’re constantly seeking the fun and humor of life. Plus, we’re consistently delving into the areas behind the curtain, trying to figure out what’s it all about, what’s our place in the world. And most importantly, how we can deliver what we learn to our children in a way that will be meaningful for them.
