Well, this morning we’re sitting in our house awaiting for the arrival of Tropical Storm Fay. Luckily, we’re not awaiting for Hurricane Fay as was predicted a day and half ago. So far we’ve had bands of heavy rain, followed by sprinkles along with strong gusts. A tree across from our lake is leaning at a 45 degree angle. Fay is stationary over the ocean just north Daytona. The worst is still to come later today as Fay (hopefully) makes her way inland just south of St. Augustine. At three A.M. the rain woke us up and we noticed that the pool water was not too far from over flowing. We proceeded to drain about five inches and are sure it will refill throughout the day. So today, we’re going to watch the weather, watch a movie or two (as long as we have power) and watch our lake fill up.
Awaiting Fay
